Job Accounting II Software

Overview (MX-SW310)
Job Accounting II, access control and output management software (MX-SW310), lets you secure your print, copy, scan and fax environment by giving you total control of your Sharp MFPs. It can control access, then tell you who used them, when and for what purpose. What’s more, you can use it to restrict usage of certain device functions (such as colour copying) and limit how many pages each user can output - the detailed usage reports will help you audit and keep track of everything.

Once set up, users who are known in the organisation - defined from Active directory, or preconfigured by administrator - can self-register at a Sharp MFP control panel and log on with a swipe card or username/password combination. Individual permissions can be assigned to control what users can/can’t do and credits can be added at a department or individual level too. Anyone can try to log on to the MFP but it will only respond if they have appropriate authorisation and sufficient credit for the tasks they wish to do. Credits can be topped up manually or automatically so as not to compromise productivity, but now staff will think more about the resources they’re consuming.

Rules can now also be applied based on the attributes of each print job (e.g. document type, colour or number of pages) so that they are forced to duplex, converted to black & white, or automatically sent to a more cost effective MFP, ensuring efficient utilisation of your MFP fleet.

Job Accounting II Software has a comprehensive reporting structure which gives you a greater understanding of your print-related business costs. It is supported by a wide range of MFPs*2 from entry-level through to high performance models and once its installed you can add any of these extra value software options to expand functionality depending on your requirements.

Pull Printing (MX-SW311)
With the Pull Printing option installed, print jobs are securely stored in a queue on the Job Accounting II server until you need them. So, with this option, users can retrieve their documents from any permitted Sharp MFP on the network at a time that’s convenient to them. And before they release their job, users can change the finishing options (e.g. staple, colour, duplex) directly from the MFP control panel. Pull printing is a more secure way of working as sensitive documents aren’t left out in the open and it can enforce a Print security policy with GDPR compliance.

Client Billing (MX-SW312)
With the client billing option installed, the operator has an easy and direct way to charge individual jobs to specific clients, costs centres or client project codes. Reports and invoices can be issued specifically to the client or used for internal accounting purposes.
